The Hinge On Which All of Human History Turns

Almost two thousand years ago, God’s only begotten Son died to redeem us from all our trespasses. Trespasses that which we are bound to suffer and pay for. As a consequence from the fall of Adam and Eve, we are all rendered as depraved. So depraved that we are not capable of doing good, born morally corrupt. We are even incapable of turning to Christ for salvation. But God choose people for Him. God in His sole sovereignty so ordained people that will come and believe His only Son, Jesus Christ.

His perfect plan to redeem His people, was paid for by at the cross of calvary. He demonstrated His grace by giving out His Son to die on the cross and raise Him from the dead on the third day to defeat death. Instantly, redeeming His chosen people from all their sins. Thus giving them the ability to believe, embrace and follow His only Son. It is Jesus’ resurrection that serves as the hinge on which all of human history turns. This is the reason why we celebrate easter every year. But how much do we understand of what Jesus has done to fulfill God’s perfect plan of GRACE?

Let me share to you this enlightening teaching of Christ’s resurrection – “Easter Through the Eyes of God“.

Even the most glorious sunset, when gazed at long enough, will eventually lose its appeal. The scenery becomes so familiar that the senses grow dull to its vivid color and beauty. The scenery doesn’t need changing—only your perspective.

Such is the case with Easter. Our modern eyes have gazed on the wonderful story for so long that we’ve lost our appreciation for its richness. What’s worse, we’ve missed the real story—the forces at work behind the scenes that make the crucifixion and resurrection defining moments for all mankind.

In Easter Through the Eyes of God, John MacArthur approaches the Easter story from the unique perspective of God, Himself. How were God’s purposes served by an angry, murderous mob? What was God’s role in the suffering death of His own Son? Why is the resurrection of Jesus the hinge on which all of human history turns? This compelling study provides the answers.
